Fuel Policy
Hirer's Responsibility
Fuel is the responsibility of the hirer for the entire rental period. You must refill the vehicle to its starting level before return.
No Refunds on Fuel
No refunds are given on fuel provided above the starting level. Only the correct starting amount is guaranteed.
Tyres & Windscreen
Tyres
Tyres that are run flat or sustain sidewall damage are the hirer's responsibility. Replacement costs will be deducted from the bond.
Windscreen Damage
Windscreen damage is the responsibility of the hirer and will be deducted from the bond, regardless of how it occurred.
Rental Period & Vehicle
Minimum hire period is 7 days for standard bookings.
Should the vehicle booked be unavailable through unforeseen circumstances, Ambrose Car Hire reserves the right to substitute an alternative vehicle without prior notification. This shall not constitute a breach of contract.
Animals & Pets Policy
Ambrose Car Hire does not allow the carriage of pets or any animals in their vehicles.
Carriage of pets or animals will render the contract void, and the rental bond will be retained and used for professional cleaning and fumigating of the vehicle.

Cleaning Fee
Help us keep our fleet in top condition. A cleaning fee is imposed if the vehicle is returned in an unsatisfactory state, including:
Authorised Areas of Use
Vehicles are permitted to travel within the following boundaries. A $200 remote area surcharge applies to boundary destinations.
Vehicles MUST NOT be driven past these points. Breaching travel restrictions will void your insurance cover.
